As the senior organizing fellow for the Progressive Change Campaign Committee, I'm proud to announce that the The Nation magazine just declared PCCC the "Most Valuable Online Activism" of 2010 -- saying we have "shaken the Democratic establishment" and "pushed Democrats to throw punches rather than throw in the towel."
The Nation gave credit where it's due...to you: "PCCC signed up 650,000 'bold progressives' on its e-mail list...PCCC's independence is its strength."
Exactly right! Thousands of Daily Kos members have been a crucial part of our work -- and your support has allowed us to be independent from the establishment.. For everything you've done this year: Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.

If you ever wondered if all those $3 contributions make a difference, the answer is yes. Thousands of us chipped in over $1 million for progressive candidates in 2010 -- and over $1 million more to fund our TV ads, online ads, polls, and activism that consistently made national and local news.
Russ Feingold, Alan Grayson, and Raul Grijalva called our election work in support of progressive candidates unprecedented. And MSNBC's Ed Schultz called PCCC "the top progressive group in the country."
Here's just some of what we did together in 2010:
- We rallied hard for Elizabeth Warren -- and won. She's now leading the creation of the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau!
- When Keith Olbermann was kicked off MSNBC, hundreds of thousands of PCCC members fought back hard -- and won!
- When Progressive Caucus Chair Raul Grijalva was targeted by Karl Rove and right-wing groups for defeat, PCCC members made over 40,000 calls to voters and raised him nearly $40,000. It was close -- but we won!
- We built a brand-new lobbying arm, the P Street Project, to make sure that at least one full-time lobbyist on Capitol Hill would be advocating for progressive issues.
- PCCC was credited with bringing the public option "back from the dead" -- and our activism was credited with making a weak Wall Street reform bill stronger.

When PCCC co-founders Adam Green and Stephanie Taylor started the PCCC two years ago as a force for bold progressive change, they had high expectations -- but thanks to you, we've exceeded those expectations time and again.
Now we have big plans for 2011 -- including what The Nation describes as pushing Democrats to be "uncompromising on core values."
